Philosophy of Care

For Dr. Phillips, orthodontics is about more than straightening teeth — it’s about building relationships and helping patients feel confident in their smiles.

She believes that communication and connection are the most important parts of the doctor-patient relationship. By taking time to listen and clearly explain treatment plans, Dr. Phillips helps patients and families understand not only what treatment is recommended, but why it matters.

When patients feel informed and involved in the process, they become active partners in their care. Dr. Phillips loves seeing the progress month after month and sharing in the excitement of the final result when patients leave with beautiful smiles and newfound confidence.

Life in the DC Area

Although she left the area briefly for her orthodontic residency, she was determined to return. In 2018, she moved back and now considers the DC area home, where she enjoys serving the many wonderful families in the community.

A self-proclaimed food enthusiast, Dr. Phillips enjoys exploring different cuisines and discovering great restaurants whenever she can.

She is also committed to serving her community. Dr. Phillips is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., an international service organization dedicated to community engagement and empowerment.
